Westminster Education was founded by Robert Prendergast in 2014 for the purpose of investing and developing opportunities in the private education sector.

Robert Prendergast has been involved in private education since 2000 when he joined the management team of Centre for Digital Imaging and Sound (CDIS) in Burnaby BC. Robert was integral to the sale of CDIS to Education Management Corporation and the conversion to the “Art Institute of Vancouver”.

Moving on to being the CEO of TEC The Education Company Inc., Robert then was key to the acquisition of Stenberg College and the Centre for Arts and Technology Okanagan, where he guided the organization until 2011.

In 2011 Robert founded ECC Education Consolidation Corporation which initially acquired Robertson College in Manitoba and then Westervelt College in Ontario. Robert was the CEO of ECC initially and then retained a position on the Board of Directors, exiting the investment in 2021.

Robert has continued to act as an executive consultant for LaunchLife International and was the Managing Director of Pitman Training Ltd. in the UK after it’s initial acquisition. Returning to Canada Robert continued to provide services to LaunchLife and it’s multiple brands in the education sector.

Robert has previously been very active as a Board Member for the National Association of Career Colleges and the BC Association of Career Colleges. In recognition of these contributions Robert was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.

At this time Westminster Education is searching for acquisition and investment opportunities in the private education sector.
